Botanical Garden Kerkrade

The Botanical Garden Kerkrade is one of the 27 official botanical gardens in the Netherlands and the only museum in Limburg. The collection is rich and varied and consists largely of plants and trees from temperate regions. The tree collection can certainly be called special. The small greenhouse houses drought plants from South Africa and Madagascar. The Madagascar collection is unique in the Netherlands. The history of its origins, the mining past, the input of designer John Bergmans and the current state of the garden contribute to a high appreciation by visitors. The garden is equally interesting for everyone, whether laymen, enthusiasts or experts.
